GLOSSARY

HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) is a combination of three or more drugs that, together, block HIV's ability to replicate. HAART is recommended for people with HIV, based on CD4 counts and other factors, to prevent AIDS and minimize death rates associated with AIDS.
